Impressions

On Saturday, 14 September 2024, several hundred motivated and interested visitors came to the Lufthansa Aviation Training Center in Frankfurt, presumably with exactly the same question: What prospects do I have at the Group? Because when the doors of the Lufthansa Aviation Training Centre are opened to interested parties once a year, the aim is once again to bring aviation to life and spark a fascination for Lufthansa.
The Lufthansa Group will continue to need motivated employees in numerous areas of operation worldwide in the future. This aspect was emphasised by Dr Michael Niggemann, Chief Human Resources Officer, in his opening address to the guests from the open side door of the Boeing 747 training dummy and motivated those present to enter into a curious exchange. And Jonathan von Gutzeit, Head of Talent Attraction & Employee Experience Lufthansa Group, concluded by emphasising that the Lufthansa Group is already tackling a wide range of future topics today - an exciting, varied and up-to-date working environment.

Throughout the day, visitors were given valuable insights into the wide range of career profiles currently on offer. For example, what does it take to become an aircraft mechanic? How do I successfully get into the cockpit of Eurowings or City Airlines and what opportunities do IT specialists currently have in the Lufthansa Group? All these questions and suggestions were discussed and lively debated at the individual stands of the business units throughout the day. A major highlight: a look behind the scenes during the tours of the simulator halls and training equipment. Because what does it actually look like in the simulator cockpit of a 787? Another highlight: the tour of the A380 mock-up with our experienced cabin trainers. Where else can you experience the Lufthansa Group and aviation in such a real way? Once again this year, we would like to thank all of our visitors for their keen interest, lively dialogue and their enthusiasm and curiosity about a career in aviation.
