Training center in Zurich

Training in modern surroundings: Lufthansa Aviation Training has moved into a new training center in Zurich. After approximately two years of construction, this new building close to Zurich airport was completed in December 2019. It offers clients and employees more than just a friendly, modern ambience, but also sets new standards in terms of sustainability. It will achieve an energy saving of approximately 50% by running its simulators on electric rather than hydraulic systems. All our Safety & Service Training devices have been relocated to the new building and are “ready for training”. For our pilot training, the Embraer 145 FFS is already in operation, with the remaining flight simulators to follow over the next few months.

The new building will eventually encompass seven Full Flight Simulators, two Flight Training Devices, three Flight Navigation Procedure Trainers, seven Door Trainers, six Emergency Training Devices, and three Service Mockups.
